Knowledge acquisition takes place in all phases of life and forms a central aspect of everyday life. Spaces in which learning, teaching, and researching can differ greatly in their requirements, if only because of the age of their users. Architecture sets the decisive course as to whether places of education ensure concentration, creativity, and cooperation and how flexibly they can respond to individual needs.
