Claude Gauvard is a Professor of Medieval History at the Paris Sorbonne University, she has published extensively on a variety of subjects relating to medieval times. She is considered an authority on this period and was made an Officer of the Arts and Letters (Officier des Arts et des Lettres), one of France's highest distinctions. Photographer Joel Laiter trained as an architect and became an art historian and photographer. His works have been featured in a number of magazines such as Madame Figaro, Elle Decoration, and World of Interiors.
